We have provided you with tools to build a customized profile page which can be used to help you market yourself to potential employers.
Career Profile Page:
Each jobseeker should build their profile page to attract top employers to your resume. This includes completing a professional statement, uploading a personal picture to your page, adding your profile address (URL link) and any other personal links (such as LinkedIn) to your page.
Photo Upload:
Simply save a professional passport size photo in JPEG format to your computer files. Go to your career page and click on the photo upload link to locate the photo where you have it saved on your computer. Upload the photo directly to your profile page. When employers access your profile page they will see your picture displayed. Please note that photos outside of professional work attire are not recommended i.e. tank tops, photos with pets.
URL(Profile Address):
Go to your profile page (profile address)and add the name that you would like for your URL i.e. Mary Miller. Once added, this will automatically generate your profile address: i.e. http://www.caribbeanjobnetwork.com/Profiles/Mary Miller. This address will allow employers and recuiters to access your resume information at CaribbeanJobNetwork.com online.
How to Use Your URL:
- Your URL is important because it will be used widely to promote your page to employers
- You can also make it available to people you e-mail by putting the link in your email signature block
- You can reference your profile page in your resume and put the link to your Caribbean Job Network page in your resume
Professional Statement Block:
We have dedicated a section of your profile page for your professional statement. Your professional statement should be brief and highlight only a few salient points that best describes you as an individual. You may use this block as a casual professional introductory to potential employers.
